Pregnancy and Postpartum Support

Pregnancy can be a challenge. Lots of changes occur during this period, both joyful and difficult. Sometimes the emotions can be overwhelming. When upsetting or distressing thoughts and feelings persist, help is available. You are not alone in these experiences. Up to 10% of women experience significant depression and approximately 6% of women experience anxiety during pregnancy.* ** Therapy can help and we can work together to process complicated emotions that can accompany the transition to parenthood.

When baby arrives, it can feel complicated and overwhelming. It may be difficult to balance the relationships with your  partner, other children, friends and family and manage your new responsibilities as your baby’s caregiver.  One in seven women will develop a mood or anxiety disorder during pregnancy or within a year of giving birth. With the right treatment, we can discover ways to enjoy your new little one and build your new identity as a parent. Please contact me so we can chat further.
